About
Michiel.
Creative developer who designs and builds digital products — websites, web apps, and the automation behind them — from first idea to shipped experience.

A non-linear path into tech
I didn't start in software. My first years were spent in a client-facing role in healthcare — learning, before anything else, how to listen to people and earn their trust. That part never left.
I retrained as a developer, then spent three years on a large Angular project in the chemical sector, followed by IT consulting for Flemish local governments — Microsoft Dynamics, Power Automate, and data classification with Purview.
In early 2026 I moved to Hamburg and leaned fully into building my own products: chatati.de, canceldiscount.com, and more — idea to production, solo.
That mix — service, consulting, and shipping real products — is the creativity I run on. I'm open to full-time roles and project work where I can do exactly that.
How I work
Ownership
Hand me a vague idea and I run with it — from problem to shipped product, end to end.
Clarity
I translate between technical and non-technical people without losing either side.
Momentum
I ship. AI-assisted where it helps, automated where it should be, done where it counts.
A note on my German
Dutch is my native language and my English is fully fluent. My German is at A2 and improving every week— I live in it daily and I'm committed to getting properly fluent. It's part of the same story: I'm not afraid to start at the bottom of a curve and climb it fast.
